Kaltio lean-to

The Kaltio Lean-to is in the Arctic Circle Hiking Area near Vikaköngäs, around 25 km north-east of Rovaniemi. The log-built lean-to is on the edge of a hill surrounded by a forest. It features a campfire site, bench, woodshed and outhouse. A spring can also be found nearby, but the water quality is not monitored. You can access the lean-to on foot, skis or snowshoes. The Vikaköngäs parking area can be reached by car all year round.
